Following two reconstructions of Daryl’s mouth, suffering the effects of Post Traumatic Stress, and weathering negative comments, he had erected a wall between himself and the outside world. He was a closed shop, one colleague at this time described Daryl as a ‘ghost’. However, one amazing leader with incredible interpersonal skills, over time, was able to bring down this wall, earn Daryl’s trust, and help him go on to achieve great successes, personally and professionally.
